Imagine yourself stranded on a desert and you could only take 5 songs along.. The five songs that are your favorite would be taken. I will tell you which five songs I would listen when I would be on a desert, the five songs I can't live without.
1. Kiss me thru the phone - Souljaboy
A friend of mine sent me this song, the first time I heard this song I fell in love with it. I just love the rithm and the beat. And not only that, but the lyrics I like as well! It is the most listened song in my iTuns! There is not really a special meaning behind it, but the song always cheers me up.
2. Liefde maakt me sterk (love makes me strong) - Dizziej, Gillex & Ruli
This song means a lot to me. Ruli is a good friend of mine, and Gillex/Justin as well. Ruli sent me this song which he made himselve. Nobody has this song and it is not on youtube so for me it is really special that he sent it to me. The lyrics of the song make me really strong, and it made me feel better when I felt down.
3. I'm yours - The Script
The Script is a band that I like a lot. I like almost all the songs that they made. But this one, this one is very sensible. It is written about, that not everything about him is perfect but that he knows about it and still thinks he should be "yours". What I like that much is that he is not embarrassed to say that he is yours although he does not think he is perfect voor her. I think that is beautiful.
4. Do you remember - Jay Sean
A friend of mine sent me this song. The first time I heard, I fell in love with it immediatly. The beat really grabbed my attention and this made me listen to the song many times. Then i was told to listen really good to the lyrics, which improved the song even more. When I listen to the song I get happy and energetic. Also I imagine about things that happened or I would like to happen when I'm listening to the lyrics.
5. I remember - Keyshia Cole
This song remembers me of when I felt heart broken. The lyrics are exactly how I felt back then and this makes me remind of all that happened. I think that the lyrics catch most people's attention because I think everybody can see themselves in it. The songs of Keyshia Cole really mean something to me, I really like what she writes and how she puts her emotions into her songs.

Why do we have music?
Music is something we can't live without, to my opinion. Every person has emotions, which they express most of the time. A way to express your emotions is to write them down. Which can be made to lyrics for a song. Because, if you listen to the lyrics of songs, almost all the songs are about feelings and emotions.
Playing instruments is also a way of expressing your feelings, if you are very mad, you might play a song which is very busy and up-tempo. But when you're down, you might play a very slow song. Whilst playing an instrument you forget everything, it's you and you're music. For me that's a feeling that makes you happy.
But noy only playing and making lyrics is part of expressing your emotions. Listening is also a expressing your emotions. When you are very sad you'll probably listen to very slow songs and listen to the lyrics and kind of think about whether the lyrics match your feeling.
I think music is very important because it makes you feel happy or helps you when you're sad. But also you can express you're emotions by playing or listening to music.

My Music
When I was young, I started playing music. It seemed cool to me to play a music instrument. I chose the piano, because I found it the most beautiful instrument at that time. I was six years old when I had my first piano lesson. I was immediatly fascinated by playing the piano. But after 5 years of playing I had enough of the piano, so I quit. By playing the piano, I learned how to read notes. That was something I wanted to achieve by playing the piano.
Music is something I love to listen to. When I'm at home I immediatly turn on the radio, when I turn on my computer, I first start up iTunes and I wake up the first thing I do is put on my iPod! I mostly listen to music I just put on my iPod, so it differs what kind of music I listen to. I listen to R&B, HipHop, House but also music that is very calm, mostly ballads. For when I go to sleep for example, I listen to the Beatles and to the slow songs of Michael Jackson.
Experiences I have had with music are not many. When I played piano I had to perform twice a year for a audience of about 100 people. And further I have joined 80DB once! That was a great experience. Mila Werner, Renée van Eck, Julia de Bruijn and I sang accidentaly in love from the Counting Crows.
So far this was it!
