In November we held a playing test where we had to grade our peers. After judging and grading my classmates I had some thoughts i'd like to share. I found it very interesting to see how my classmates performed. The performances were slightly different from each other which made it more interesting to listen to. I also found it interesting to see how people had been practicing their part and then finally put all the parts together to create the right rythm. Normally I listen to a song when the rythm attracts me, and the lyrics as well. But this time I had to pay close attention to if they were making mistakes and whether it sounds good.
I liked grading other groups because it makes you participate to the performances; it makes you want to listen. But it was difficult though. Because I wanted to give my classmates the best grades, but doing that wouldn't be fair. So I think the grades I gave were fair, because I payed a lot of attention to that whilst also giving good grades because I wanted to. I think that I got that back from my classmates because our group was judged honestly to my opinion.
The rubric we use worked well to my opinion. I don't think it wasn't complete on any aspects. Also it was easy to use, the levels were quite clear. I think it was the best rubric ever! Maybe because my group made it..
